BALLON D'OR : A controversial and prejudice over selection

Let's take a look into 2021 BALLON D'OR award show, and its winner LIONEL MESSI. Do you really think he deserve this Award?

We all wondered who would emerge as the winner, and it was so clear that Robert Lewandowski should have won it. Apparently, he was also robbed of this award a year before. But as we all know, our devoted Messi fans would never agree to this.



Messi winning the Copa America for Argentina is not a significant reason to win the Ballon d'or.

Don’t get us wrong, it’s a pretty decent achievement, particularly given the pressure on Messi but enough to win the Ballon d'or? Oops, there were just nine other teams in the tournament.

Don't you think launching a new award termed “Striker of the Year Award” is such a joke? What was the aim? To make Lewandowski feel less bad or what?

Based  on the achievements listed above, Messi appears to have the upper hand, but all this is attached to Copa America; Considering the fact that Robert Lewandowski was not given the award a year ago despite showing how excellent he was and also still retaining such performance thus clinching the European Golden shoe for two consecutive seasons and still performing at a high level. Messi gained the upper hand using the performance at CONMEBOL.




FINAL THOUGHTS

What most Messi fans will tell you is Lewandowski did score a lot of goals and won Golden shoe but that was not enough to win the Ballon d'or. And you think Messi performing in Copa America is enough to win the Ballon d'or?

    Politics in football... Lewan deserves it but he was robbed, hopefully he's going to prove himself once again nd reclaim the award

    It think he should have maybe 2 of it ..so Messi deserve it

W eeks ago, Showmax announced a Nigerian spin-off of the Real Housewives franchise that first aired on the 8th of April.
